Public School is a New York based label that I had heard of long time ago and that a friend showed me again recently. These are really dream pieces. I think that labels like Public School really blur the line between art and clothing, form and function. They set themselves apart with this interesting and refreshing mix of fabric and design. Many designers: givenchy, marc jacobs and the lot are all doing the same thing, but Public School seems to stand on its own. That quiet, confident one in the background that everyone notices and talks about, but cannot approach. Truly amazing-

One of the best brands that I saw during my stay in Korea. I was so excited to see them on Hypebeast, and
decided to do a shout-out and pick out some of my favorites. I really think that this brand is doing really good thins for the streetwear culture in Korea and it's exciting to see the brand grow out of the motherland! I remember talking to the store manager about someday seeing the brand in the States, and I hope that happens soon!

I think that suits are something that make people look a lot more sophisticated than they probably are , as you can see. That being said, I do understand that the fit of the jacket is not perfect, but I don't think I can do much about it right now. Also, this is my very first suit! I got it because I had an interview opportunity with Sid Mashburn and had to hurry out to get this. Nothing special, I think I picked it up from Macy's on-sale and got it tailored through their tailor, but they did a bad job so I went back to a local alterations.

Herschel's Heritage Hawaiian/Navy Backpack

Most of you probably don't know this about me, but I was born in Hawaii and grew up there for the first 7 years of my life. Though it's accurate to say that I am from Hawaii, I suppose I am actually from a suburb of Georgia, having been raised there for 14 years- albeit, not exactly the most interesting place to be from.

Regardless of such minute details, this backpack is a pretty sweet way to honor my "roots". Part of the Heritage collection that Herschel does pretty regularly, it has some pretty extravagant designs that are quintessentially Hawaiian. For $75 I suppose it is on the pricier side for a backpack but looks hot, can't deny that.

Now I want to be completely honest, it was not until recently where I began to pay attention. Never before did I pick up on a lot of things that people put in a lot of thought and effort into, two of those being movie soundtracks and costumes. I don't think I realized until recently that not only do people get paid to compile music for movies and create outfits for actors, but people fight other people to get such positions. Trippy right? that being said, I think I want to being celebrating some noteworthy music and outfits that catch my eye in the fine cinematic wonders that I watch. 

This is from the movie Adventureland, one of those odd mixes of teen comedy and romance, starring Jesse Eisenberg and the questionable Kristen Stewart. I have not seen the Twilight saga so I don't completely understand the hate, but she was just fine in this movie, but that is besides the point. This outfit comes from one of the park managers, played by Kristen Wiig.  The movie takes place in the late eighties which is where a lot of the fashion inspiration comes from I suppose. This is just a great fit though.
